　　At AECOM, we’re delivering a better world.

　　Our Ireland Roads Team currently has a vacancy for a Senior Roads Engineer within our Dun Laoghaire office following continued growth of the workload and the team.

　　The successful candidate will be a Chartered Engineer, or close to achieving Chartered status, with a good grounding in road engineering design, urban design, and project management. They should be ready to take the next step in their career taking on responsibility for delivery and co-ordination of projects and design packages on complex road and infrastructure projects. They will have the ability to deal directly with clients and fill a key project co-ordination position within the wider team leading graduate engineers, technicians, and supporting disciplines to deliver successfully.

　　The candidate will be expected to lead and deliver on our portfolio of active travel schemes where there will be opportunity for significant progression where the right candidate will grow into a design lead and project manager role. The candidate will also be involved in the delivery of key major roads packages for our national road's schemes.

　　They will have experience of working collaboratively as part of a team developing a range of local, national, and international road schemes or similar major civil engineering projects and will have been directly responsible for delivering scheme design packages, and co-ordinating input from other disciplines. The candidate will ideally have experience of working on urban schemes and dealing with the associated challenges.

　　Projects

　　The Dublin Roads team works both locally and across the UK & I market. Our current portfolio of works comprises a diverse mix of local, national and international highway and infrastructure improvements across significant delivery programmes for major Clients, including BusConnects in Dublin and Cork, M50 EMOS scheme, major Greenway projects, the N4 Mullingar to Roosky 54km major road scheme, multiple active travel and bus priority schemes with various local authorities in Ireland, and Northern Ireland projects such as the York Street Interchange in central Belfast.

　　Minimum Requirements

　　Experience of supporting delivery of infrastructure through the Irish statutory processes including ABP/SID/Part 8 & associated EIA/AA processes

　　Experience of design of schemes in an urban setting

　　Significant technical design experience across a range of disciplines to National Cycle Manual (or similar international cycle design guidelines), TII Standards, DMRB, SRW and MCHW, and DMURS or similar transferable international experience
