We are currently recruiting for a Risk Control Consultant to join our team. This role can be based anywhere in the UK and we are specifically seeking an individual with a sound understanding of sprinkler systems who can evaluate installations to European and US sprinkler rules. Applications from individuals working in the sprinkler industry who are seeking a wider risk management role are encouraged with training and support available.
You will be a strong advocate for Risk Control, giving risk management advise and seeking to become the trusted advisor for our customers.
On a day-to-day basis you could be:
Conducting risk control surveys at client locations to determine potential hazards and risk factors to be considered in underwriting/risk selection. This could involve assessing fire, business interruption, health and safety, motor or products liability exposures.
Writing technically detailed reports that provide a clear assessment of risk and clearly articulate recommendations.
Consulting with clients on ways to control hazards in order to reduce or prevent losses.
Coordinating and overseeing key large accounts and managing large customer relationships.
Influencing clients to implement recommendations.
Building and maintaining productive relationships with clients, underwriters, brokers, claim professionals and other risk control staff.
Conducting research for underwriters or clients on class of business, operations, unique or unidentified exposures, or any other technical subject requiring similar analysis.
What is a Must Have?
Experience in safety, risk control, or related fields including but not limited to construction, manufacturing or relevant military experience or bachelor's degree in related field required.
Experience in evaluating sprinkler systems to European and US standards.
Must be able to attain appropriate certification to meet legal requirements where applicable.

Keeping adequate records of all transactions undertaken with our brokers and customers
Continually looking for improvement both from a personal and business perspective.
What Is in It for You?
Private Medical Insurance: On commencement of employment, you are eligible for single cover provided by Travelers, with the option to add cover for your dependents, at your expense through payroll deduction.
Retirement: Travelers will make a basic contribution of 9% of pensionable salary to your Group Personal Pension Plan (“GPPP”). If you decide to contribute an additional amount from your salary, you will receive an increased company contribution up to a maximum of 3%. This would bring the total company contribution to 12%.
