  About the Position

  The Senior Risk Consultant will develop and implement safety, regulatory and best practice risk reduction programs for our clients. This individual will work within the HUB Risk Services Division, alongside board-certified and degreed safety, property, security, and environmental professionals with experience in a variety of industries. This position will be primarily responsible for servicing Hub clients in Southern California.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  The Senior Risk Consultant will work with HUB International producers and clients to develop and implement safety, regulatory and best practice risk reduction programs for our clients. The consultant’s primary responsibilities will include:

  Provide a high-level service to clients in Southern California, while also providing support to additional clients across HUB International’s North American footprint, as well as HUB International’s Specialty Practices.

  Coordinate, manage, and service large national accounts across a diverse cross-section of industries;

  Develop custom solutions and advise clients on best practices in risk identification, risk mitigation, safety management strategies, and return to work processes;

  Implement programs using generally accepted project management and consulting practices;

  Develop and conduct management and employee training programs;

  Conduct loss analysis & trending to identify client focus areas;

  Conduct management and employee training sessions for clients, as needed

  Perform audits/assessments at client sites in multiple industries;

  Develop/manage relationships with insurance carrier and vendor partners;

  Provide oversight of insurance carrier activities on client’s behalf;

  Support national and regional service goals;

  Develop client facing consulting materials such as bulletins, training materials, stewardship reports, loss analyses, safety programs and policies;

  Act as liaison between regional risk services leadership and office leadership;

  Work alongside fellow regional and national consultants collaboratively.

  Key Requirements:

  Ideally (5-7) years’ experience as a safety/risk/loss control consultant in the insurance broker or carrier environments, or in a role primarily dedicated to safety and health.

  Generalist preferred, with experience in agriculture and construction is desired

  Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety or related discipline is desirable

  Bilingual Spanish/English writing and speaking skills is desirable

  Designations such as CSP, ARM, CFPS, ABCP, CSHM, etc. are a plus

  Strong working knowledge of Cal OSHA, DOT and NFPA desirable

  Experience in Agriculture and Construction are a plus for this region

  Experience evaluating property risk is desirable

  Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Teams, PowerPoint, Excel and Word

  Ability to perform on digital communication platforms such as Zoom, MS Teams and/or GoTo Meeting.

  Knowledge of claims management processes and workers compensation

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

  High degree of self-motivation, discipline and ability to manage own schedule

  Must be willing to travel and work beyond normally scheduled workweek, as necessary

  Compensation & Benefits :

  HUB will offer a competitive compensation & benefits package commensurate with the candidate’s abilities.

  Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in CA: The expected salary range for this position is $85K to $130K and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.   Department Risk Management & Loss Control

  Required Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience

  Required Travel: Up to 25%

  Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
