As a Sr. Project Manager with GE Vernova's Power Conversion business you will be Responsible for execution of marine projects: responsibilities include project delivery on time and to budget including customer satisfaction, financial accountability, technical compliance, and quality control through management of project related activities and resources.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Leadership role for overall project execution, including leadership of shared resources within a matrix environment.Provides strategy and estimates for projects during the bid phase.Delivers projects meeting customers schedule and technical requirements within the as-sold budget,Delivers financial targets for revenue, margin and cash meeting monthly, quarterly and annual targets. Responsible for accurate and timely billing of cost-plus fixed fee contracts recovering all costs expended monthly.Executes the project in line with the business quality management system.Maintains an integrated schedule and work breakdown structure for all project activities.Maintains a risk register for the project addressing and mitigating technical and commercial risks.Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, installation and commissioning.Reports project status to the customer and internal stakeholder on a regular basis including, progress to schedule, technical compliance, scope change, risk and opportunities and financial health of the project.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in an engineering or business discipline from an accredited university or college10 years of experience in managing complex system projects in the marine industry.Previous experience working with US Government contracts, FAR12 and/or FAR15Ability to travel to customer sites and suppliers as needed.
Eligibility Requirements:
US Citizen with the ability to achieve security clearance for Department of Defense projects
Desired Characteristics:
Project Management Professional CertificationTurnkey system projects including engineering, equipment supply, site installation activities (cabling, piping, civil work etc) and commissioning.Working knowledge of Primavera and SAPStrong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
