Key Responsibilities:
Technical/financial support of sales activities
Develop technical solutions for energy and decarbonization projects
Financial modeling of energy solutions (EaaS, ESPC, etc.)
Proposal writing and review/QC
Management and coordination of project team
Conduct walk-throughs of customer facilities to determine project viability
Participate in meetings with customers, facilities staff, design and construction personnel to understand project goals.
Interviews customers to determine facility needs and assess customer expectations
Assists in the preparation of customer presentations
Presents the business case of the proposal for oral interviews and customer meetings
Financial Modeling:
Combines energy savings values, sub-contracted costs, and purchased material costs and incorporates these data into NORESCO’s financial model
Reviews energy savings and costs for reasonableness based on past experience, metrics, and knowledge of the project
Analyzes Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) for technical and financial viability
Identifies ECM and project cost and savings risks, and develops a plan and strategy to manage and mitigate these risks
Proposal Writing and Review/QC:
Responsible for financial/technical sections of the proposal
Reviews ECM Write-Ups and other technical proposal sections provided by Energy Engineers
Coordinates proposal document strategy and tactics with the Account Executive
Supported by a Proposal Administrator (PA) to review, edit, and assemble the proposal and Detailed Audit Documents
Management and Coordination of Project Team:
Manages the project team including Account Executive, Energy Engineer(s), Lighting and Water Auditor/Designer, Construction Manager, and M&V Specialist
Host weekly conference calls to communicate strategy and tactics, review team member’s responsibilities and progress to date against milestones
Coordinates and leads risk review meeting prior to proposal submission, presenting the business case for the project
Manages the proposal and detailed audit budgets and timelines to produce project deliverables on time and within budget
Be familiar with all phases of project development including conceptual and detailed design, construction phase, commissioning and warranty.
Ability to travel 25%
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
7+ years of continuous experience in the energy project development
Preferred Qualifications:
Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
Experience in development of Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) projects preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical discipline
MBA, PE license / EIT and CEM are not required, but are considered a plus
Skilled with Microsoft Excel, engineering calculations, building simulations (eQUEST, HAP)
Adept in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Strong technical writing skills
Sales aptitude and keen business acumen
Project finance or Energy as a Service development experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with significant expertise in Excel.
Demonstrated passion for energy efficiency, decarbonization and clean energy technology.
Collaborative personality, strong team player, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivation, attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning, proven ability to work independently and within in a team environment, and to proactively identify problems and solutions.

Pay Range:
$112,828 - $157,959 Annually
