About Senior Program Manager, Air Cargo Ops

  Description

  Amazon Air is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join the Air Cargo team.

  The Senior Program Manager, Cargo Management, will be responsible to develop and execute new processes, policies, goals, and long-term solutions that increase scalability, streamline operations, reduce errors, decrease costs, and improve the company’s overall air transportation program. This position will communicate with external vendors, managers, peers, and team members, both within the team, as well as with other departments and business partners to drive effective solutions to complex challenges. The Program Manager will work cross-functionally to implement solutions that effectively exceed targets.

  Key job responsibilities

  Working cross-functionally, navigating through ambiguity, managing and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability, and delivering on commitments.

  Managing multiple project assignments that continuously improve customers’ experience and develop best in class air cargo capabilities.

  Communicating roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams to gain buy-in and deliver to project schedules.

  Producing concise, relevant, and strategically driven documents and presentations for both the front-line operation at airports and company leadership.

  Using analytical tools to dive deep and never be out of touch with the details of the business.

  Tracking progress towards goals by identifying metrics and measuring performance.

  Representing the company with partners, and working across all relevant cross-functional areas to guarantee effective communication, implementation, and execution of objectives.

  Bellevue, WA, USA | Nashville, TN, USA

  Basic Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree

  5+ years of program or project management experience

  Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  3+ years of experience in cargo operations

  Preferred Qualifications

  Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

  7+ years of driving process improvements experience

  Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

  Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
