　　Job Summary:

　　Production Test Engineering is looking for a highly motivated individual to support testing of production engines at the West Palm Beach (WPB) Engine Center on 2nd shift. The Production Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring every engine demonstrates all test requirements and resolves issues involving the test stand, data acquisition, and/or the engine. WPB currently supports testing for the F135, FT4000 Gas Turbine, PW1100G NEO, and Auxiliary Power Unit (APU). Additionally, Production Test Engineering collaborates on projects related to these models. Individuals must be able to work well with others to achieve results.

　　This role is for a 2nd Shift Production Test Engineer with working hours from 3:30 pm - 12:00 am. This can be a demanding and challenging role, but also highly rewarding and impactful.

　　Key Responsibilities:

　　Perform troubleshooting on engine, test systems hardware, and test systems software.

　　Review and trend engine performance/execution to make sure every engine meets the performance specifications outlined in its specific test procedures.

　　Provide written engineering recommendations during engine test to ops/quality.

　　Communicate with external engineering groups as issues arise during tests.

　　Flow down operator/inspector communications as required via communication material from model managers, test integration leads, test management.

　　The candidate will become familiar with in-house processes such as analyzing test data, working with our production specific acquisition system, and processing compliance /customer requirements.

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aviation maintenance, aeronautics, or related field and minimum 5 years’ experience in engine systems operation, special test equipment, tooling, or prior relevant experience.

　　U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Experience with engine test, flight line and/or engine shop maintenance knowledge

　　Experience with engine construction

　　Experience using instrumentation for vibration, temperature, force, pressure, and flow measurements.

　　Experience with statistical process control and using Github, Python, and Excel Macros

　　Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

　　The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
