Purpose of Job:
Provide Production Planning, Inventory Control, and Customer Service expertise to various product line or Regional area. Order components, schedule, and communicate regarding items. Communicate with Manufacturing shop floor in execution of schedule.
Key Activities:
Plan, schedule and provide customer service for product lines, and/or regions as assigned. Participate in and support S&OE and S&OP related to assigned product lines and markets.
Support Manufacturing floor with publication of schedule and daily meetings on an as needed basis. Maintain close working relationship with all members of operations to effectively communicate and execute schedule changes without negative impact to operations.
Maintain visibility of stock position and production release as it relates to area of responsibility.
Be actively engaged in implementing counter measures required to avoid any service issues.
Be able to act as functional back-up to fellow planners as required.
Maintain, revise and update department SOP’s as required.
Create, submit and follow through on department QCR’s as required.
Provide guidance to procurement related to the demand on components as it relates to production schedule and forecast timing for areas of responsibility.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
5 years’ experience in a Production Planning environment – pharmaceutical or medical device preferred.
Must have proven experience in Inventory control.
Must understand an MRP driven process and have the ability to interpret signals from multiple systems.
Must have experience in an Advanced Planning System.
Must have experience planning with a production centric ERP.
Preferred:
History of increasing responsibility and leadership experience a major plus.
Major in Manufacturing Operations or Logistics.
APICS certification.
ERP-Lx experience.
BlueYonder experience
