　　Project OverviewBechtel is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Bechtel’s scope of service in Sentinel’s current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.

　　A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century. 　　This position is located in Ogden, Utah.Position Summary

　　Essential duties include the locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations using GT Strudl. Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3. Will work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.

　　Responsibilities (include but not limited to)Locating and performing pipe support design, originating related calculations using GTStrudl in accordance with DoD UFC standards, AISC & ASME B31.3 or applicable codes as applicable.

　　Application of typical pipe supports and/or review/approval of layouts/isometrics as required.

　　Candidate should possess a knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and piping codes.

　　Software applications to be used are GTStrudl for engineer pipe support frame analysis.

　　Qualifications and SkillsBasic Qualifications

　　Level 1 : BS degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university and 6 years of related experience.

　　Level 2: BS degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university and 9 years of related experience.

　　US citizenship is required per contract requirement.

　　Possess active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance.

　　Minimum QualificationsAbility to review/approve piping layouts & support requirements per DoD standards/ASME B31.3.

　　Hands-on experience using a stress analysis program.

　　Preferred QualificationsPrevious DoD project experience for Risk Category 5 facilities.

　　Hands-on experience using a structural frame analysis program.

　　PE Registration.

　　Previous Bechtel project experience.
