What will you do?
This is a great opportunity to join our Payroll Team. As a Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for running a number of client pensioner payrolls, ensuring that pensioners are paid on time and accurately, and that all other related tasks are dealt with correctly in line with current procedures.
Checking/Authorising payroll amendments (e.g., address changes and bank details).
Preparing/Checking/Authorising the processing of payrolls (e.g., signing off payroll control reports) (senior)
Keeping filing systems up to date
Preparation of the monthly accounting and preparation as well as securing of the payment files for execution by the customers
Ensuring that payroll deductions are dealt with correctly
Preparation and follow-up of accounting as well as administration of pensions in SAP
Provide an efficient, professional service to meet all client/members' needs and to promote the Willis Towers Watson brand
Daily be the main contact for an agreed list of payroll clients, and maintain and develop client relationships
Dealing with written correspondence and complex enquiries both internal and external (particularly from pensioners)
Second point of contact for pensioners and other offices (health insurance funds, tax offices) on technical questions concerning accounting
Being responsible for specific tasks/projects allocated to you by the Payroll Team Leader (e.g., processing complex or payrolls, mentoring junior payroll colleagues, dealing with difficult inquiries and/or complaint cases, testing system enhancements and new software)
Carrying out the objectives set during the annual performance review process and assisting in other areas as required
Be a point of reference on technical issues and non-standard cases
Challenge procedures to identify process improvements and pass on recommendations to the Payroll Team Leader.
Support junior colleagues on errors made to explain and prevent reoccurrence
Maintain and develop further knowledge of pensioner payrolls within the team
What are we looking for?
German language - Interpersonal skills to include good written and verbal communication.
Experience in pensioner payroll administration (SAP).Knowledge of accounting software such as SAP, DATEV and proficiency in MS Office
Experience in the accounting of company pensioners or from payroll accounting and competence in tax and social security-related topics
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft packages
Numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities
Familiar with handling and analysing large amounts of data
Team orientation, communication skills and a customer- and service-oriented attitude
Good time management skills and the ability to organise and prioritise own workload
