About Senior Operations Manager - Customer Success, Amazon Freight EU

  Description

  Amazon Freight is looking for a Senior Operations Manager - Customer Success with relevant experience in Operational management, with a commercially aware approach to problem solving to lead the Amazon Freight EU Operations and Support (AFOPS) Customer Success team.

  As a Senior Operations Manager within Amazon Freight EU Operations- Customer Success, you will be responsible for driving key improvements and enhancements to Amazon Freight’s existing Customer Success operations.

  Key job responsibilities

  Provide leadership to and deliver results through the Amazon Freight Operations and Shipper Support Customer Success Team underpinned by core business goals.

  Support in shaping the operational strategy for Amazon Freight Customer Success.

  Identify opportunities to enable growth across the customer portfolio alongside Commercial teams.

  Identify and drive improvement initiatives within the Customer Success business, assessing the impact on the existing set up and defining the trade-offs for the business growth and cost to serve.

  Manage all aspects of the project planning, requirements, risk management, communication, and implementation plan

  Manage key communication to Stakeholders, and work cross-functionally with stakeholder teams to ensure alignment in business level goals and implementations.

  A day in the life

  This is a people manager role leading the AF EU Operations Customer Success team, which is part of the Pan- European central control center for Amazon Freight's Shipper Support and Transportation Execution. The Customer Success team is responsible for planning and scheduling the transport orders placed by our largest Enterprise customers (Shippers), and providing them with bespoke and tailored support at each step of their journey.

  About the team

  Amazon Freight (AF) stands out as a trailblazing B2B start-up within Amazon Transportation Services in Europe. Its start-up nature requires flexibility, adaptability, and a keen understanding of evolving landscapes.

  The Amazon Freight Team provides transportation services for external shippers that use the logistics network we built for Amazon to deliver freight safely, on time and at competitive costs. We offer shippers access to the same network of carriers, technology infrastructure and tools that Amazon uses to move thousands of loads daily. Businesses of all sizes have access to the costs and levels of service of one of the largest shippers in the world. Amazon Freight spins Amazon’s broader flywheel by utilising empty miles by bringing in freight that flows complementary to our existing network.

  We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

  Coalville, LEC, GBR

  Basic Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree

  Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  Relevant experience in operations and/or program management.

  Experience managing and leading teams directly and indirectly.

  Relevant experience in influencing stakeholders with different priorities and different functions.

  Preferred Qualifications

  Master's degree

  Experience defining and executing program requirements

  Experience scaling product/programs

  Experience working in supply chain or related industries
