Position Summary
As part of the Network Security team, the Senior Network Security Engineer will provide technical support and analysis around new and existing technologies within network security architecture, management, and remediation in a hybrid setting which spans physical data centers as well as multiple cloud environments.
Responsibilities
Responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing of network security infrastructure and application components.
Understand and enforce security best practices within an enterprise.
Establish and maintain project and production schedules.
Identify network security management issues and opportunities, analyze problems and alternatives, and develop sound conclusions and recommendations.
Analyze and evaluate new technology solutions within network security for global enterprise applications.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology or equivalent combination of education and direct work experience in the Network and/or Security field
5-7 years working in network security.
GSEC, CEH, and CISSP certifications required
CISM and CCSP preferred
Familiarity with Check Point, Fortinet Firewalls, Zscaler, F5 Big-IP/XC-Cloud, and AWS hosting environments and deploying solutions in a hybrid environment.
Network auditing, configuration, and performance monitoring.
Understands the principles of cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, and project management.
Possesses a deep and vendor-neutral understanding of cybersecurity hardware.
Strong understanding of vulnerability assessment platforms.
Works well in a team and be able to use their initiative and understanding to manage their own research efforts.
Communicates efficiently and confidently, both verbally and in writing.
Maintains excellent standards in their work and show a high degree of attention to detail.
