Overview
Reporting directly to the Regional Technical Resource Manager, the Senior MITS (Managed IT Services) Engineer will be responsible for supporting multiple small to mid-sized clients with their project labor and managed network service needs across multiple markets. The Senior Engineer will have direct interaction with clients on a day-to-day basis performing managed service tasks and engineer project-based work.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and troubleshoot complex workstation installations.
Onboard/offboard servers and workstations for managed IT service offerings.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot complex server installations.
Ability to draft complex project Statement of Work (SoW), work with Sales professionals to update the SoW based on customer feedback and execute the projects.
Ability to execute projects based on detailed SoW documentation provided by others.
Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot complex networks.
Comfortable working with 3 rd party vendors to: provide a complete solution; troubleshoot complex vendor-specific problems; or to coordinate migrations.
Ability to coordinate and leverage multiple resources on complex project SoWs.
Obtain and maintain IT certifications required by company.
Good organization, time management and prioritization skills.
Create and maintain client documentation to ensure efficiency and consistency.
Interact with clients, internal staff, consultants, and vendors.
Enter time sheets daily for all work performed.
Participate as team member on larger projects.
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field a plus.
Minimum 5 year of hands-on technical experience managing/supporting multi-server Microsoft environments.
Hands-on virtualization (Hyper-V and/or VMWare) experience.
Strong Experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting network firewalls and switches.
Must be a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or be willing to acquire certification as part of the employment agreement.
Must be certified in Network technologies through a major vendor or be willing to acquire certification as part of the employment agreement.
Must be certified in a Cyber Security architecture through a major security organization or be willing to acquire certification as part of the employment agreement.
Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure and Office 365 technologies preferred.
Managed Service Provider and/or Managed Security Service Provider experience a plus.
Network-based Storage Technology (SAN) experience a plus.
Server, security, or network certifications a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detailed oriented, ability to track and thoroughly communicate on multiple ongoing projects for multiple clients.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as participate as part of a group managing other resources on larger projects.
Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate must be comfortable actively communicating with all levels within an organization. 75% local-day travel / 20% remote work / 5% overnight travel.
Valid driver’s license.
Must be able to provide own reliable transportation.

Compensation for this position
The compensation range for this role is $50,7000- $85,700. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
