JOB REQUIREMENTS: Senior Medical Technologist - Float - 19814DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule: This is a full-time, FTE1.0, Float position. Monday- Friday primarily Day Shift between7:00am-5:30pm, with occasional evenings to cover Urgent Care hours andstaff competencies. Hours may vary based on department needs. Pay: *External hires may be eligible for a \$4000 sign on bonus. We areseeking a Senior Medical Technologist (MT) Float to: * Provide dailydirection to other laboratory staff with regard to laboratory workload,policies, procedures, and recommend adjustments to staffing, policiesand procedures. * Serve as a consult for test performance and technicalproblems. * Motivate, coordinate and support staff to ensure qualityresults are reported in a timely manner. * Assure that all remedialactions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory\'sestablished performance specifications and that patient test results arenot reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the testsystem is properly functioning. Or Bachelor\'s degree must include minimally 60semester hours or equivalent, that includes either: * 24 semester hoursof medical laboratory technology courses OR 24 semester hours 6chemistry, 6 biology and 12 chemistry, biology, medical laboratorytechnology in any combination Preferred Bachelor\'s degree in ClinicalLaboratory Science (CLS). Master\'s degree in Clinical LaboratoryScience (MLS) or related science or healthcare field.
