What you will do:

As a Mechanical Engineer III, we would like you to be a member of our custom product development team. In this role, you will have an influence on the conceptual development, mathematical analysis, detailed design, and overall performance of sophisticated refrigeration products and systems. Also as needed provide support to the salesforce, factory production, laboratory, service, applications, and marketing teams located globally.
How you will do it:Proficient in mechanical design and be able to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product.Work to established schedules to meet internal and external delivery engineering documents. Responsible for the on-time completion of projects.Utilizing mechanical engineering theory and methodologies such as heat transfer, fluid dynamics, failure analysis and refrigeration.Work with a design team to use screw compressors and centrifugal compressors in developing custom products that meet their specific requirements.Track and control product cost, and warranty expenses.Investigate and analyse product design requirements and cost for recommendations and optimum solutions.Continuously researches equipment operation, materials, industrial processes, and manufacturing equipment.Perform calculations and publish performance data.Develop mathematical calculations and formulas using multiple variables and analyse results.Works closely with the design and drafting group in generating product layout concepts and system configurations.Continuously increases expertise on all aspects of product design, theory, construction, operation, and applications.Learns and applies regulatory codes such as UL, ASME, and API.Strives for continuous improvement and teamwork in a global product development and process environment.Works under general supervision and follows established procedures.Implement the company's safety, environmental protection, and health management regulations.
What we look for:
RequiredBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET accredited).Minimum 4 years of applicable experience. Has general knowledge of refrigeration equipment designs.Proficiency in Microsoft suite Applications (Work, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as AutoCAD, Internet software and E-mail.Assist other engineers, designers, and technicians.Defines and plans own day-to-day activities for stand-alone projects or pieces of more complex project designs to meet or beat set deadline dates.Can write-up product specifications, requisitions, and material requirements.Reports project status on a weekly basis.
PreferredKnowledge in SAP is helpful.
