The Supplier Readiness Organization is tasked with transforming the Honeywell Aerospace supply base to reach delivery and productivity goals by setting and driving supply strategy for products under the Mechanical Systems Value Stream. Lead Supplier Development Engineer reports to the Mechanical Systems Value Stream Supplier Readiness Vice President and is responsible for setting the strategy and driving efforts to achieve rate readiness targets and productivity goals. Person in the role will oversee a team responsible for identifying gaps in supply base preventing us from reaching delivery goals, working with suppliers on fixing systemic changes, and identifying and bringing on new supply sources to mitigate delivery risks, while meeting productivity goals. This entails finding new sources of supply and onboarding suppliers to achieve key performance metrics for the organization.
The Lead Supplier Development Engineer will closely partner with the commodity leadership, global planning, and site operation. Person in role will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures, Legal, Financial and Export / Import regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop sourcing and supply strategy for the Mechanical Systems Value Stream
Partner with Sourcing Business Teams and Regions on ST project portfolio management for the work stream to maximize DM productivity while simultaneously driving globalization, localization, headwind reduction, as well as overall supply chain resilience and agility.
Identify and transition parts from Exit suppliers while developing new reliable and capable sources of supply.
Develop a second source for Chronic and High Value parts to reduce customer past due and provide opportunities for material productivity.
Achieve breakthrough performance – driving significantly larger high-value projects / packages with dramatic reduction in overall transition execution cycle time.
Drive focus on data integrity, milestone and budget adherence, end-to-end project management accountability, and business acumen.
Communicate key work stream performance indicators / metrics at various weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and meetings.
Collaborates with Honeywell’s Material Management Team to align purchase of material, material planning, production planning, inventory control and shipping/ receiving with supplier readiness rate.
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (i.e. Mechanical, Industrial, etc.).
8+ years of experience in program management, supply chain, manufacturing or engineering.
US citizenship or permanent resident required due to export laws.

Expert within material control system such as MRP/SAP systems

Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and changing priorities; make sound decisions under pressure and work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a crisp and to-the-point presentation style, and an ability to quickly and positively influence others.
