　　BASF Stationary Energy Storage GmbH (BSES) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BASF SE. BSES is the exclusive distributor of the NAS® batteries and co-develops the NAS® technology together with its Japanese partner NGK Insulators Ltd.

　　RESPONSIBILITIES

　　In this responsible position you will manage the technological portfolio in our development program of NAS batteries.

　　As an expert for battery technology, you will set goals based on industry trends in the energy storage sector.

　　You will then guide and support the R&D teams in their implementation.

　　Furthermore, you will coordinate the cooperation within the global technology teams with a special focus on external collaborators and manage the scale up of production processes with the technological units.

　　Your expertise will be integrated in the creation of global business strategies in the field of Stationary Energy Storage.

　　In addition, you will represent the global technology function in interdisciplinary teams, and you will promote the cooperation between the marketing, sales and R&D departments.

　　QUALIFICATIONS

　　completed PhD in material science, engineering or chemistry

　　solid experience in the field of battery technologies or energy storage applications

　　background in electrochemistry, industrial production and scaling technologies is an additional plus

　　deep knowledge in project management and the technical understanding to grow into fields which are beyond your current horizon

　　analytical and strategic thinking

　　excellent communication in English and in German

　　social skills, to build strong networks and to get involved with international teams and cultures.

　　capable of completing successfully even controversial issues together with your partners and hold course in situations of uncertainty
