Description
The Amazon Selection & Catalog Systems (ASCS) team is seeking an experienced Sr. Manager of Technical Product/Program Managers for leading the transformation of the organization to use Generative AI technologies for improving data quality for billions of products in the Amazon’s global catalog. The space requires cross-functional engagements and coordinating activity across numerous tech teams. Your efforts will drive the overall strategy and you will also own the execution including: the technology roadmap and directly lead the development, implementation, and delivery. As the Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, you will lead an existing team of technical program and product managers to execute the overall implementation strategy. You will hire and develop the best and be responsible for career growth of your team. You will support your team in driving the business and system-level reviews, aligning with engineering teams, making architectural decisions, and driving adoption of the critical mechanisms necessary to ensure the program’s success.
The right candidate will possess the ability to effectively drive, influence and negotiate with data. He/she will have demonstrated experience leading large projects with cross-functional teams having shared goals not necessarily direct authority. You should thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and shouldn’t be hindered by ambiguity or multiple competing priorities. As a team leader you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to success in this role.
