  Position Summary...

  What you'll do...

  This role is the leader for the Edge Services team, the glue between the in-store compute infrastructure and the Intelligent Store software teams. This leader works with partners in Edge Compute and Edge Infrastructure to ensure Intelligent Store Tech has the edge capabilities it needs to run the world's best point-of-sale system.

  About Team:

  Our team creates reusable technologies to help with customer acquisition, onboarding, and empowering merchants, while ensuring a seamless experience for both of these stakeholders. We also optimize tariffs and assortment in accordance with Walmart's Everyday Low Cost philosophy. We not only create affordability, but we also deliver customized experiences for customers across all channels - in-store, mobile app, and websites.

  What you'll do:

  In this role, you will lead your team to...

  work with networking, infrastructure, and software teams to understand edge needs and capabilities.

  define strategies to accelerate and reduce cost of development in edge

  engage with key decision makers in the company to ensure edge resiliency and operation

  Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years' experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 7 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
