Role Description
CoStar Group is the leading provider of information, marketing, and analytic services to the commercial real estate and industry. We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Social Media to join our CoStar Group Marketing and Communications team based in Washington D.C. As Senior Manager, Social Media, you will be responsible for helping and managing all global social media accounts and content, while assisting the marketing teams execute on various campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages and reviews all day-to-day content for CoStar Group and CoStar across all social media platforms: Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X and YouTube.
Liaisons with external vendors, from scope of work negotiations through project completion, in collaboration with PR and external communications colleagues across select brand groups.
Supports social content creative development process by collaborating with internal teams, providing input on content needed, submitting content creation requests, and managing delivery of content from copy through concept and creative design.
Measures and reports on all campaigns for CoStar Group and select product brands on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.
Publishes and reviews suggested stories as well as assists with user registrations for global employee social media advocacy tool daily.
Collaborates with internal teams to develop social media onboarding programs and resources for new hires across all brand groups in an effort to increase employee social media advocacy tool registrations and quality usage.
Educates employees on social media guidelines, policies, tips, and best practices by creating playbooks and video training tailored to the needs of various teams.
Serves as the internal company resource for social media best practices and strategy consultations across all brand groups.
Assists with development, management and execution of campaigns including paid and organic social promotions and/or sweepstakes, and events.
Manages social media efforts around trade events.
Manages team of 1-3 Social Media Associates
Act as a strategic advisor, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership on social media best practices and industry trends.
Drive innovation in social media campaigns and content, positioning the company as a thought leader in the industry.
Stay abreast of competitive landscape and industry benchmarks to continually refine and elevate our social media approach.
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with overall business goals.
Identify key trends, emerging platforms, and technologies to stay ahead in the social media landscape.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, or similar discipline from an accredited, not-for-profit university.
A track record of commitment to prior employers.
5+ years of leadership experience, managing teams of individual contributors
10+ years of relevant social media or digital marketing experience with known B2B brand(s), preferably in the commercial real estate and/or technology industries.
Working knowledge of digital marketing tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Bambu, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Facebook Business Manager, X Ads Manager, etc.)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Organized with a strong attention to detail, knows how to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Team player who is collaborative, positive, and proactive with constructive attitude towards problem solving.
Experience in InDesign, Photoshop, or other graphic software a plus.
Leadership and management skills, including the ability to prioritize and control workload of a team, coaching, and mentoring on professional development.
