  As the Senior Manager, Production Operations, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of production, including order fulfillment, shipping, receiving and inventory control activities.   What you'll do on a typical day:Management of 3PL operations, including production, distribution and inventory managementOversee operational and personnel activities in the facility and ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of the siteEstablish and meet site objectives in the areas of financial performance, safety, quality and customer service while maintaining compliance with all applicable internal and external policiesMaintain high standards of operational efficiency and ensure compliance with specified contract metricsEnsure quality management system procedures are implemented throughout functional groupsFocus on productivity, quality and safety requirements in accordance with company needs and customer requirementsEnsure efficient utilization of all equipment and the coordination of maintenance needsHire, train, develop and evaluate staff effectively, consulting with the HR team as neededProvide direction, development and leadership for managers and supervisorsEnsure time and attendance is properly maintained, monitored and approved in a timely mannerMaintain and model the 7S Workplace Organization standard; ensure all safety procedures and policies are followedPartner with staff to manage and always maintain appropriate stockMaintain work schedules and work assignmentsWhat you need to succeed at GXO:

  At a minimum, you'll need:5 years of managerial/supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environmentExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipmentAvailability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekendsIt'd be great if you also have:Bachelor's or master's degreeExperienced with the practices of Lean Manufacturing techniquesWorking knowledge of all aspects of production - equipment, processes, inventory management, quality standards, metricsExperience in supply chain management in a distribution environmentLean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) knowledge and experienceProven successful employee engagement and retention strategies with the ability to inspire and motivate the workforceWorking knowledge of financial accounting, including developing and/or managing a PandLSolid problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skillsStrong skills monitoring and enforcing safety measures and policies for internal team members and external vendors, including coaching to ensure a safe work environmentWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
