About Senior Manager, Internal Audit - Remote

  As the Senior Manager, Internal Audit you will be responsible for conducting audits that evaluate the established internal controls designed to manage the company's most significant risks. You will assist the Director, IT audit in planning of individual audits, developing test steps to evaluate controls, and gathering/analyzing information as necessary to evaluate the effectiveness and adequacy of the controls. This role will also lead a team of external co-source resources to execute audits. Additionally, he/she will be required to execute the SOC1 reporting program for key clients including the building of strong relationships with GXO site/client management. Finally, this role will also be expected to test SOX controls and lead the global SOX ITGC efforts in the future.

  What you'll do on a typical day: Day to day management of multiple audit/SOC1 projects to ensure they are conducted in accordance with the audit methodology and that milestone dates are met, and projects are completed on time for assigned projects and staff Serve as the "in-charge" role that will involve directing other senior or staff auditors in the performance of their responsibilities Perform preliminary audit plan, which includes documenting processes via process maps and flowcharts Prepare draft process level risk assessments to identify significant risks and their related controls Direct the other senior and staff auditors in the execution of audit test steps and the documentation of the related workpapers to support conclusions reached Identify key control points within a process/activity and develop audit test steps and the documentation of the related workpapers to support conclusions reached Identify and document weakness in control design and effectiveness based on analysis performed and write formal draft audit reports Assist in leading the SOX testing program through improvement and standardization of all components of internal control testing Supervise the follow-up on audit reports to determine if required action was taken, document and communicate the results of the review What you need to succeed at GXO:

  At a minimum, you'll need: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related work or military experience 7+ years of audit (internal/external) experience or relevant business experience CPA, CIA, or CISA Experience in conducting audit projects as well as SOX testing Experience in identifying risks/controls, performing process walkthroughs, testing for key controls, and monitoring effectiveness and reporting results Ability to work and adapt in fast-paced environment Enter years/industry experience Enter required experience/skills It'd be great if you also have: Prior public accounting experience Prior Big4 experience SOC-1 and SOX experience We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
