SSD develops next-generation concepts and systems to advance our future of living and working in space sustainably.As the Control Formulation Manager for Space Systems Development (SSD), you will report to the Director of Core Formulation and manage those responsible for staffing our various SSD Formulation projects, studies, and programs.This key leadership role will advance the future of Blue Origin platforms by developing and applying innovations across multiple systems, while meeting high standards of safety and quality. Your team is multidisciplinary covering power systems, simulation and environments, thermal and fluids management, guidance, navigation, and control (GNC), autonomy, command and control, data handling and instrumentation, electrical integration and avionics, and propulsion. Deploying this team to serve the various projects, studies, and programs in a rapid formulation design environment will be a key responsibility while also contributing technically as an individual contributor sharing your own expertise. Our group in Formulation is employing a fast-paced agile process to rapidly address early formulation work through a series of two-week sprints. This position will help lead assignments in this dynamic environment as well as be an active participant themselves. It is important that you bring the appropriate mindset to both personally and have your team be successful by bringing the right culture of bias for action while quickly delivering results.
