Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering, UKG Kronos Systems, LLC, Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid)
Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering is responsible for working on all aspects of Kronos’ Cloud Infrastructure initiatives. Will lead a Team of cloud-focused engineers and will work closely with other members of the Cloud Organization including Architects, Network and Virtualization Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Developers, and DevOps Engineers.
Essential Functions:
• Leading and managing the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of new network solutions and improving the efficiency of current networks containing Google Cloud, Fortinet, and other vendor equipment/platforms.
• Leading the building, configuring, testing, and provision of production Cloud systems support that includes duties such as deployment, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting load balancers, firewall policies, Virtual Private Network (VPN) tunnels, Router, Domain Name System (DNS) and Linux servers.
• Leading and managing an Engineering team including assigning tasks and projects, monitoring performance and providing feedback and guidance, reviewing performance and participating in hiring and termination decisions.
• Collaborating and coordinating with other Teams internally and third parties on improvements and efficiencies in our processes, inclusive of maintenance and new projects.
• Leading the creation, implementation, and development of scripts to automate everyday operations and deployments leveraging configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Improving, innovating, and creating enhancements to existing processes and policies.
• Delegating and working from ticket queue on provisioning, break-fix, and new initiatives.
• Maintaining, troubleshooting, performance tuning, recovery, and supporting all adds, moves, and changes to the environments.
• Ensuring that Team provides and maintains clear, consistent, and accurate documentation of network topologies and standards, including documentation of ISO and other related standards and/or regulatory compliance.
• Monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems/outages, and collaborating with Staff and Architects on network optimization.
• Guiding, arranging, and performing scheduled upgrades and reporting statuses to key stakeholders.
• Managing operational tasks such as device backups, code management, configuration compliance, reporting, and environmental and performance management while adhering to security policies.
• Leading the procurement, tracking, and renewing of network products and services.

Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience:
Position requires either (i) a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, IT or a closely related field and 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer or (ii) 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer. Must also have 3 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with either primary experience requirement above) working with the following:
● Deployment and configuration of load balancers, firewalls, Routers, VPN tunnels, DNS, NTP in large network infrastructure;
● Public cloud security tools including Cloud Armor, Cloud firewall, Fortigate NGFW and best practices for their application;
● Public Cloud-based virtual network environments;
● Incident management during outages, Disaster recovery and business continuity;
● Working with off-shore and distributed teams;
● Change Management and Network Audit processes as well as ITIL processes; and
● Design reviews, requirement gathering, and drafting implementation design documentation in Google cloud platform and on-prem datacenter.
This is a hybrid position working 3 days/week from the company office in Alpharetta, Georgia and 2 days/week working from home.
