Senior Landscape Architect/Ecological Restoration Practitioner

ICF is seeking a senior landscape architect to work collaboratively with ICF design team members and colleagues from our conservation planning, fisheries and aquatic science, and environmental and regulatory compliance teams to design and implement ecological restoration and open space planning and design projects in Washington, Oregon, and California.
The ICF Ecosystem Restoration, Landscape Architecture, and Engineering Team works with state and federal agencies, local governments, tribes, and other clients to plan, design, implement, and conduct long-term monitoring of complex habitat restoration projects. ICF’s Design team integrates ecological design principles into open space planning and design projects.

Your Role
As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work with clients, teams of technical experts, and regulatory agencies to move projects from initial site assessment through conceptual design and alternatives analysis, and ultimately to preparation of detailed designs and implementation. In a typical workday you may help develop conceptual plans and graphics, construction documents (planting and grading design), construction cost estimates, open space and public access planning documents, and habitat mitigation and monitoring plans. You would also manage projects and contribute to the development of our ecological restoration practice.
This position is a full-time position with a typical 40-hour workweek, although part time (30+ hours) is an option.
Key Responsibilities
Design and planning of ecological restoration, open space, and other projects.
Prepare construction documents including design plans, cost estimates, technical specifications, and basis of design reports.
Perform field work, site assessments, and construction monitoring.
Support obtaining environmental permits for project construction, working with permit specialists to provide necessary design project data and reports.
Manage projects.
Assist with business development.
Be a positive and supportive addition to our team.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, engineering, restoration ecology, or other related field with design experience.
8 or more years of experience within the fields of ecological restoration, landscape design, or other environmental disciplines.
Training or demonstrated experience using AutoCAD and other design software.
Experience managing projects with multiple tasks and interdisciplinary teams.
Strong technical writing skills.
Strong graphic communication skills.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Strong organization and data management skills.
Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites.
Ability to interact well with project team and complete project tasks in a remote work environment.
Additional Preferred Skills/Experience
Experience working on habitat restoration projects in California, Oregon, and/or Washington.
Knowledge of ecology and natural systems.
Experience with visual resources analysis.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Proficiency in the Adobe suite of graphics software.
Proficiency in ESRI-based Geographic Information Systems.
Proficiency in MicroStation.
Knowledge of and ability to use hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (HEC Suite, EPA SWMM, SRH 2D, TUFLOW, or other).

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$79,643.00 - $135,392.00
