Responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintenance of Kdb+ Systems for fortune 500 financial clients. Kdb+ is native to Kx products, so must have proficiency. Develop a Kdb tick system to effectively compare the quality of trade data for dynamic indices team. Write scripts that allowed the backfilling of data into the kdb database. Design best-fit database solutions for different sources and quantities of data in kdb. Working within Market Data, Equities, FX, Fixed Income, and Future markets. Design and develop kdb infrastructure from inception for daily reporting across multiple asset classes. Implementation of release procedures for upgrades and delivery of patches. Make recommendations regarding the technical specifications of the evaluation hardware. Utilizing kdb+/q, C#, HTML, Javascript, SQL, Java, R, Data Mining, Agile Methodologies, and Normalization. Executing proof of concept kdb+ solutions for clients. Train and advise the client's workers application in development and best practices; kx and market surveillance practices. Enhance the write-down at EOD for a process to prevent sym bloating and reduce the need for secondary systems. Upgrade the Kdb version being used by the platform including fixing any conflicts to code that occur.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering or related plus two years experience in the job offered or related position in the financial industry field.
