Close interaction and coordination with internal partners and external suppliers is required. Success will be measured on spend addressed, savings achieved, and working capital impact. The central challenge of the position is to capture value from indirect spend categories of Hardware and Professional Services while meeting key business objectives such as service, quality, and timing. The position is based in Northville, Michigan and reports directly to the Executive Director, Indirect Purchasing of the company.

　　Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing

　　Manage various IT spend categories, demonstrate expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, spend analytics, stakeholder management and deployment of end to end strategic sourcing strategiesEnsure proper sequencing and business support for value capture initiatives.Knowledge of tools such as purchasing intake request tracking, contract storage database and spend cubeStrong industry knowledge, ability to identify a competitive edge by leveraging spend and qualified new suppliers.Manage the planning and launch of RFx events, leveraging eSourcing tools as appropriate.Purchasing & Contracting

　　Develop global/regional contracts that are commercially sound, provide optimum protection of company assets and meet IT requirements.Effectively manage renewal schedules and workload planning to achieve optimum resultsProcess Improvement

　　Work with various stakeholders to drive improvement and communications of the procure to pay policies and processes.Team Management

　　Manage team of IT Procurement Analysts, responsible for day-to-day operations of IT purchasingAbility to asset talent, grow team and develop KPI structure for success managementResponsible for performance management and compensation review.

　　Minimum Requirements

　　Experience:10+ years of IT Procurement and Sourcing experience5+ Years leading a team

　　Education: Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field

　　SkillsExperience managing indirect spend categories using multi-step strategic sourcing processes, especially professional services and hardware.Track record of managing change through influence; capable of driving major commercial decisions across a diverse set of internal stakeholders.Strong negotiation skills; expert understanding of terms, conditions, and contracting techniques for managing risk.Experience working with Procure to Pay processesIT/Technology Industry experienceComfortable working with all levels of ManagementHave a keen eye for detailExcellent communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office applications
