Job Summary
The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineersupports, installs, configures, and maintains the organisation's global corporate/internal network, telephony services and supports the company's global security program. The role will be responsible for driving and organising corporate office site builds, implementing various network/telephony projects, upgrades and participates in strategic planning to meet our company objectives. The ideal candidate will be a knowledge expert who is energised by hands on involvement in design, implementation, technology, and problem solving.
Essential Functions
1. Designs, coordinates, installs, administers, tracks, maintains, recommends and is potentially responsible for:
Global site builds technologies and IT office blueprintsCoordination of operational resources for site buildsCorporate IT site Infrastructure standards encompassing MDF, IDF standards and environmental requirements.Data Cabling designs (Cat 6, Fiber, composite)Data & voice circuit installation and Circuit ManagementRegional and remote office physical network infrastructure architectureCoordination of Corporate Network LAN/WAN (Meraki) & Cloud based telephony (Zoom Voice/Ring Central)Corporate site to site and client VPN, Office Wi-Fi ServicesRADIUS Authentication, 802.1xCommunications subsystems (VoIP, Zoom Voice, Zoom Meeting Room Collaboration)Network projects and standards encompassing LAN, WAN, high availability strategies, QoS, IP, MPLS, VoIP/IP Telephony and office infrastructure.Network security control systems with Meraki Advanced Security, IPS, URL filtering, Web Proxy, DDOS mitigation etc.Network management systems for network and infrastructure monitoring
2. Contributes as a key technical project resource for new site builds across a mixed Windows and MacOS environment, (60%/40%).
3. Creates and maintains efficient documentation for IT Standards, Policies, Procedures and KB
4. Maintains a high level of communication and positive professional relations with our current and/or future vendors and suppliers.
5. Leverages best practices approach towards projects, implementations, and issue resolution; ability to provide status updates and reports.
6. Operationalise processes that can be performed by the Operations Team.
7. Provides tier-3 helpdesk support for domain area as needed.
8. Maintains a high quality of technical support to ensure effective productivity for the management, established employees, and future THE TRADE DESK team members.
9. Participates in security incident response processes and activities as appropriate.
10. Demonstrated deep experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC) certificates and directory authentication integrations.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in related IT field or equivalent experience; Cisco certification desired but not required with demonstrated experience.
2. Five to eight years of experience in a similar hands-on operations and engineering role working with:
New site deployments and equipment provisioning or replacement through both in-person installations and pre-configure / ship for remote guided installations.Site-build design and implementation for deployment of low voltage, AV, and IT communication rooms (MDF/IDF).Designing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Cisco routers, firewalls, layer 2 / layer 3 switches, wireless access points and VPN.Wireless layout and channel optimization, Meraki Advanced Security, QoS prioritization, Traffic shaping, HA/Failover, BGPNetwork security access control systems with IPS, Anti-Malware, Anti-virus, URL filtering, Web Proxy, DDOS mitigation etc.Advanced network tracing tools
3. Two to five years configuration experience working with:
New circuit provisioning and carrier managementMeeting management software (Zoom, Microsoft Teams)Project Management software (Smartsheet, others)Cloud PBX (Ring Central, Zoom Voice)Azure infrastructure, virtual networks, and virtual devices
4. Experience with supporting offsite and international users required.
5. Previous experience working for a hyper-growth company is preferred.
6. Prior experience working with the ITIL framework in a SOX regulated environment is highly preferred.
Other Requirements
