The Sr. Inventory Coordinator is primarily responsible for leading the daily coordination of work activities including security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and systems review. The individual develops and executes replenishment strategies, conducts physical inventories, and leads cycle counts.
This role analyzes and, when able, corrects cycle count discrepancies; audits incoming and outgoing shipments to assure quality and accuracy, compiles and documents all transactions for data entry.
What you will be doing:
Ensure transactions are properly and timely completed by the receiving team as materials are received into inventory
Investigate and resolve discrepancies and root causes between actual inventory levels versus ERP inventory levels
Review parts shortages and work with all teams following processes to resolve the issues in a timely manner
Escalate process and execution issues to appropriate leadership
Perform cycle counts- troubleshoot any issues to minimize downtime and maximize efficiencies
Participates in annual inventory activities on the production site
Create and maintain a clean inventory process for storage of material on the production floor
Reviews and follow established policies and procedures- Will also review and revise as needed and follow the Quality process on revisions
Ensure quality standards are maintained and followed with the team and other departments on material strategies to ensure production flow
Back up receiving team as needed
Participates in process improvement and procedure development for inventory
Must have for this role:
High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience in inventory control in a manufacturing, warehousing, fulfillment, environment.
Proficient in Excel
Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams with excellent communication skills, and execution skills
Knowledge of inventory control best practices
Nice to have:
APICS Certification
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP proficient, Oracle proficient
