Program/Location: Adult Protective Services - headquartered in Broward County with on-going travel to Palm Beach, Indian River, Martin Okeechobee and Saint Lucie Counties. Description: This is a highly responsible professional position assisting the Southeast Region Program Director in administration of policies and procedures related to the assigned Adult Protective Services Program area(s) in order to assure statewide program compliance, consistency and uniformity. The Program Areas include Adult Protective Investigation and Supervision, Adult Protective Intervention (placement and supportive services), Community Care for disabled Adults, Home Care for Disabled Adults and Medicaid Waiver. This position requires expertise in Training, Management, Monitoring and Administration of Adult Protective Services Programs.
Position requires expertise in training, management, monitoring and administration of Adult Protective Services Programs as well as extensive knowledge of its concepts, governing laws, regulations and related community program partnerships.
Typical Duties:
Coordinates and conducts all training activities and assesses an identifies appropriate resources for unmet training needs for the Region.
Pre-service.
In-service training for Southeast Region staff-office.
Automation systems-community education and training-workshop.
Confers with Headquarters Program Office to review policy and law interpretation and provides feedback to Operations and Program staff.
Provides technical assistance to Operations and Program staff relative to; laws, rules, program policy, operational procedures, Quality Assurance, quality improvement and administration of Programs.
Participates in meetings and staffing.
Schedules and conducts Quality Assurance reviews in accordance with current statewide policies and procedures.
Prepares and monitors any related quality improvement plans.
Prepares and maintain all required programmatic data system fiscal records and reports’ findings to the assigned Program area(s).
Ensures program invoices submitted for payment, comply with all current standards, policies and procedures of the department.
Analyzes and interprets data and provides assistance to Operations and Program staff to insure compliance measures are maintained.
Coordinates and conducts Random Moment Sampling activities.
Conducts second party reviews as required.
Obtains and analyze monthly and quarterly performance reports for accuracy and timely transmits those reports the Headquarters Adult Protective Services Program Office.
Serves as liaison with; local law enforcement, judicial, other state departments and local and community organizations as needed.
Performs other related duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience working in Adult Protective Investigations or Services.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Strong and effective oral and written communication skill.
Training experience preferred.
