Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers Microsoft's cloud services and our team is focused on delivering high quality infrastructure to support cloud operations. As Microsoft’s Cloud business continues to mature, our infrastructure expansion accelerates, and Datacenters are central to this growth.
To support this, the acquisition and development of our owned, designed and constructed Datacenter facilities will scale to meet the demands of our customers, while we also continue to lease and acquire Datacenter capacity at pace, particularly in our high growth markets, working closely with Datacenter and Network operators in each region, and across the Globe.
Cloud Operations + Innovation is responsible for planning, building and operating Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure datacenters across the globe. Within CO+I, the organizational scope includes supply planning and strategic acquisition, global construction, datacenter and edge site operations, critical environment and availability, engineering, and datacenter innovation.
To help us accelerate achieving our objectives, growth and transformation, we are looking for a Senior Global Datacenter Lease Program Manager within the Lease and Land Development organization, within CO+I. The role will help us optimize the existing practices and manage the full lease management life-cycle post-lease execution of all critical requirements in a global scale, including rent payments, amendments, agreements, key renewals, contract changes and terminations. This individual should have an understanding of lease administration and a blend of program management and operations skills to be successful.

Responsibilities
Cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with key stakeholders to collaborate on real estate initiatives that align with CO+I’s short, intermediate, and long-term objectives.
Take the lead in lease interpretation, education, risk assessment, and enforcement across various functions to address escalated issues and guide others in resolving complex lease-related matters.
Ensure the performance of the end-to-end lease administration and adherence process, from the initiation of a newly executed lease to the handling of routine administrative tasks, with the flexibility to adapt and improve processes as needed.
Lead the team in ensuring strategic lifecycle planning for lease services and facilities management for global leases.
Collaborate with Lessors and internal stakeholders to ensure all parties adhere to lease agreement terms, and proactively address any potential compliance issues.
Maintain an accurate record of all lease data using lease administration processes and tools, and be open to exploring new tools and technologies that enable data compilation and analysis.
Lead and participates in cross-team initiatives while advocating for the team’s vision and goals.
Materially evolve the lease abstraction process, which summarizes lease terms, obligations, payment terms, terms with critical dates, and contact information, while also implementing for ways to streamline and improve this process.
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance lease administration operational processes, and drive the implementation of these improvements.
Develop analytics with actionable insights and drive initiatives that deliver improvement and findings to inform strategic decision-making.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Project Management, or related field AND 5+ years relevant experience
OR 7+ years equivalent experience.
5+ years property management and lease administration experience.
3+ years administration of commerical real estate contract or comparable business experience.
2+ years people management experience.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred/Additional Qualifications:
7+ years property management and lease administration experience.
5+ years administration of commercial real estate contract or comparable business experience.
3+ years of people management experience.

Real Estate Portfolio Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $142,200 - $213,200 per year.
