Senior GL Accountant
Poznań, Poland
What you will do:
In your role as a Senior GL Accountant, you will perform and coordinate the execution of different accounting processes to submit accurate and timely financial results on a monthly basis. In addition to that you will maintain good relations with business partners and drive change proactively.
In addition, you will:
• Assume responsibility for monthly financial statements according to US GAAP and perform monthly reviews with our internal customers.
• Act as the contact person for accounting-related topics for internal departments, internal and external auditors as well as other accounting departments around the globe.
• Manage projects for standardization and harmonization of accounting processes as well as development and implementation of new processes in accounting.
• Drive actively continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify tasks and processes that are suitable for centralization and coordinate transitions accordingly.
What it takes:
We need an excellent communicator in English, written and verbal, who thrives on solving problems and working in a global, interdisciplinary team environment. Ideally, you will have long-term experience in the Finance & Accountancy field, especially in General Ledger-related tasks.
We also require:
• Successfully completed studies, University degree in Finance/Accounting.
• US GAAP Accounting knowledge.
• Ability to plan and execute tasks independently.
• Very good knowledge of MS Excel/Pivot; SAP basic skills.
• Solution-oriented way of working.
• Analytical skills and affinity to numbers.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in some of the areas like Fixed Assets, Intercompany Reconciliation, Cash and Reporting, and Payroll processing.
• Proficiency in English.
