  The Communication and Navigation Solutions (CNS) Financial Planning and Analysis Department is responsible for the analysis of financial data and the development of financial forecasts to support a $1.0 billion business. In addition to business decision support for CNS leadership, the department ensures accuracy and completeness of financial results in compliance with corporate policy and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and provides reporting to ensure shareholder information needs are met.

  We are currently searching for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join our team. This financial analyst will be responsible for the consolidation, analysis and reporting of the CNS financials. He/she will work closely with other CNS financial analysts and managers to understand the business and the associated financial forecast assumptions. He/she is responsible for understanding and preparing correcting journal entries when needed to support the monthly financial closing. He/she will provide support to executive leadership for the presentation of financial information. He/she is responsible for reconciling, understanding and confirming our financial data to support the monthly financial closing process and will utilize FACT, Hyperion Planning and SAP heavily for analysis and reporting.

  This role will be performed ONSITE at our Collins Aerospace location in Cedar Rapids, IA.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  Prepare and analyze inputs for quarterly forecast for sales, profit and cash flow, and perform same effort for Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Financial Plan (SFP)

  Providing detailed analysis of variances and summary of changes to support presentations to executive leadership

  Identify/quantify risks and opportunities to ensure that the team and management are informed of the financial status and impact.

  Focal point for Overdue Delivery reporting

  Consolidation and presentation of financial data

  Networks with senior internal personnel in support of the portfolio. Represents organization as a prime contact on financial information.

  Ad hoc financial support for the CNS Business

  Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

  Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance

  Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  Strong financial and analytical skills

  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint

  Knowledge of Financial Planning and Analysis business processes

  SAP and Hyperion experience

  The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
