Avania is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst (Hybrid in Marlborough, MA)
Reporting to the US Finance Director (FD), this role will play a crucial role in driving business partnership and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) to support key decision-making processes within the organization with initial focus on Operations. Duties will include, but not limited to, budgeting and forecasting, month-end close, variance analysis, business partnership, and process development/improvement.
In this role, you will
Collaborate closely with operations to develop and implement the annual, short-term and long term financial and strategic plans
Support Project Managers/Functional Leads with forecast and unwind of backlog along with financial performance review and corrective action planning support
Work with Finance Director to timely report and analyze project data (revenue, margins, etc.), AR Aging, client advances, billability, trends, etc.
Liase and collaborate regularly with US Accounting team on monthly financial results and billing process
Provide senior management with insights into financial modeling, forecasts, and profitability
Lead process improvement initiatives for financial planning and analysis, including end-user tools and resources
Support other ad hoc activities as they arise

We seek -
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (MBA or CPA/CPA candidate helpful)
4+ years’ combined experience in accounting and finance, and must have strong experience in FP&A - we are looking for a Finance Business Parter who can make a contribution from Day 1
Previous experience with developing and managing FP&A and related processes
Excel power user with experience building and maintaining financial models
Self-starting, dynamic individual who can work cross-borders and cross-culturally in a global business while focused on US-related finance activities
Hands-on, proactive and accountable collaborator, comfortable across all levels within the organization; a strong business partner
Great communications skills and a true team player, open to wearing multiple hats and pitching in where and when they are needed; good trainer (on new processes or systems)
Ideally, able to work onsite in our Marlborough MA office on a hybrid basis; occasional (overnight) business travel to other offices may be needed
