Description There is an exciting long-term contract / temporary opportunity with one of our clients in the High Tech - Pharm/Biotech industry for a Senior Financial Analyst. South River, New Jersey will be the home base of this Senior Financial Analyst. You might be right for this role if you like the idea of being our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting. To thrive in this Senior Financial Analyst consultant role, you will need to perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and provide decision-making support for future company investments.
Major responsibilities
Identify and execute financial analysis to optimize business performance
Create sustainable business, operational, and financial processes widely understood by all necessary teams
Work closely with Functional leads - provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance, and ensure alignment of operational initiatives
Execute monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management by analyzing financial results, synthesizing/distilling key trends, assessing future and current business risks, and articulating critical updates
Execute assistance in all ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests
Capable of communicating updates to senior management, analyzing financial results, and distilling/synthesizing key issues in the course of advancing existing management reporting
Coordinate with Operations and Accounting to discreetly and accurately track financial results in order to drive improved management reporting
Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership Requirements - Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
CPA or MBA preferred
Well-versed in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
General familiarity with supervising
Demonstrated knowledge of operations
Knowledge of Create Dashboards
Practical knowledge of Presentations
Comprehension of forecasting
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Sales experience
Foundational knowledge in ProFile
Adeptness in marketing
Background working with Workstation Support
Communication experience desired
Reporting experience
Experience with Specification
Financial modeling experience preferred
Validation Plans experience highly desired
Proficiency in Office Functions
Prior experience with Annual Budget
Good understanding of Quarterly
Earlier work involving budgeting
Strong familiarity with Business Partners
CPA experience desired
Previous experience working with Perform Ad Hoc Financial
Hands-on experience with financial planning
Productivity experience highly valued
Finance experience highly preferred
Able to work across teams and gain consensus of a group of individuals
Demonstrated skills in process reengineering and optimization
Possess strong Microsoft Excel skills
