About Senior Financial Analyst

  Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst.

  The expected annual salary range for this role is $77249.97 - $113299.96 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

  What you'll do:

  The Senior Analyst communicates operating results, performance measures, and ad hoc information in a timely manner to the Controller and relevant business partners. The job is completed through data gathering, analysis, & communication. They help ensure the proper controls are in place to maintain the integrity of the plant's financials. The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the accounting department and reports to the Plant Controller.

  In this role you will:

  Partner with accounts payable closely to ensure suppliers are paid timely and accurately.Own Capital purchase process and fixed assets for site Partner with operations to help drive and track cost out.Liaison with operations to analyze and explain all manufacturing variances - help in identifying corrective actions.Serves as a key contributor to the monthly closing & rolling forecast processes providing high quality, timely, and accurate information to the controller and accounting team. Additionally, responsible for making journal entries and providing guidance on accounting adjustments.Provide support for SOX related activities around document requirements and assessment completion.Responsible for the reviewing, analyzing, and updating of product costs. Maintain internal controls of inventory through reliable financial reporting and the proper safeguarding of assets for the Grand Rapids operation.Assist with recommendations, development, and implementation of process improvements in support of departmental goals.Assist in preparation of strategic planning activities, profit planning, and month end closing requirements. Collaborate with engineering to track & report on R&D initiative.

  Qualifications:

  Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business and/or Finance from an accredited institutionMinimum three (3) years of accounting and/or finance experienceMust be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Grand Rapids, MI facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).   Preferred Qualifications:

  Knowledge of data processing, particularly with financial applicationsKnowledge of accounting, and of the functions performed by various accounting groups.Knowledge of Oracle, MFG/Pro, and LongviewGovernment contract accounting and practices experience
