This Sr. Manager level position reports to the Finance Director of Product Innovation in the Diabetes Operating Unit and the primary responsibility is to be the finance business partner for the VP of Operations & the VP of Quality.

A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Finance business partnering with the VP of Operations & VP of Quality
Liaison between OU Operations, corporate shared services, OUS regions and manufacturing sites
Problem solving by providing analysis and insightful strategic recommendations
Preparing and presenting management reports including variance analysis to the Diabetes Leadership Team
Preparing and managing the functional Annual Operating Plan (AOP) & subsequent quarterly forecasting for Opex & Capex
Managing and achieving financial targets and objectives
Translating financial information into actionable operational objectives
Management and mentorship of a Financial Analyst
Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Supporting the development and implementation of financial continuous improvement and best practices
Other ad-hoc requests as needed by leadership
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 5+ years)
Nice to Have
• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) work experience.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify key trends and drivers.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently utilize systems/data to provide insightful analysis and implement recommendations.
• Strong business acumen: ability to learn/understand the business and influence key stakeholders at various management levels to drive and increase value to the organization.
• High level of initiative and self-motivation.
• Ability to work independently with limited manager oversight
• Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate financial data into concise information for management
• Experience with projects that require high matrix collaboration, building relationships and influence.
• Experience with Medtronic financial systems: SAP, Essbase/Hyperion & Business Objects.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• MBA/CPA

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
