　　SVE (System Validation & Emulation) team within Qualcomm is responsible for validating hardware solutions and to integrate new hardware (IP cores and SoCs) to maximize software productivity and enable faster time to market. The validation organization is central to minimizing the number of chip turns in products, to the efficient transition of sound and reliable HW to SW organizations, and to the development of new validation methodologies.

　　Validation of Multimedia IPs (Camera, Video, Display or Graphics) for functional issue. Validation of performance and power aspects for these IPs

　　Validation team is currently looking for self-motivated engineers at all levels who will perform device level and system level, validation and debug, both in emulation and in post-Silicon.

　　Minimum Qualifications

　　• Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　• Master's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

　　Skills/Experience

　　Candidate should have 4-6 years of related experience in pre or post silicon validation or firmware validation

　　System-On-Chip Pre-Silicon emulation and Post-Silicon ASIC Validation experience related to board bring-up and debug.

　　Experience in working on Multimedia IPs and understanding of Video concepts

　　C based testcase automation and code debug

　　Scripting in Python/Perl is a plus

　　Familiarity with the following is a big Plus:

　　Lauterbach Trace32 environment.

　　Test equipment like Logic analyzer, Oscilloscope and Protocol analyzers, power measurement and analysis.

　　Embedded software development of low level hardware drivers in C language.

　　Technical skill-set and experience related to one or more of the following is required:

　　ARM Processors & Debug: V7/V8/V9 architectures like ARM Cortex-M, ARM Cortex-A7/A9, ARM Cortex A53/A57/A7*

　　Multimedia IP's validation/verification experience [Display, Video, Camera].

　　High Speed peripherals like CSI and DSI

　　SoC Low Power validation

　　Power correlation and debug

　　Responsibilities

　　Execution of the validation plan and methodology of Qualcomm SOCs on HW emulators and on Silicon

　　Writing and reviewing validation test plans

　　Create validation suite in C-language and build automation regression test-suit

　　Development of directed, random, and pseudo-random test for validation in compliance with Silicon spec and use cases

　　Debug of testcases on various platforms using JTAG, Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes and similar LAB HW equipment.

　　Return Material Analysis (RMA) debug and root-cause analysis, System level tests debug

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

　　OR

　　Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

　　OR

　　PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
