  Note: This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 2-3 days a week at one of the following Corporate Office locations: St. Petersburg, FL, Memphis, TN, or Southfield, MI

  Job Summary:

  As part of the Securities Back Office team, this Senior HP NonStop Engineer will analyze business requirements and problems and deliver quality technical solutions. This individual will be involved in portions of the full systems life cycle (based on experience/skills) and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget. Handles complex problems independently and demonstrates analytical thinking. This role will follow a hybrid workstyle in one of the following locations: Saint Petersburg, FL (33716), Memphis, TN (38120), or Southfield, Ml (48075).

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  Analyzes system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components subsystems.

  Makes recommendations for the development of new code or to reuse of existing code.

  May lead assigned projects, including assigning tasks, coordinating efforts, and monitoring performance.

  May recommend new technologies and methodologies to management for meeting business needs, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities. Remains current with new technologies.

  Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

  Provides technical advice and assists in solving programming problems.

  Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements and flow charts.

  Reviews test results; documents test activities and records remedial actions.

  Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.

  Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  Qualifications

  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  Knowledge of:

  Experience with Middle Office and Back Office domains is a strong plus.

  Experience with brokerage business/industry.

  Skill in:

  Experience in HP NonStop COBOL85, HPNS SQL/MX and SQL/MP.

  Experience in Pathway servers and configuration.

  Experience working on HP NonStop/Tandem Guardian OS application development.

  Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.

  Experience working in Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid software development methodologies.

  Experience with messaging platforms (e.g., MQ) is a plus.

  Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

  Technical experience with requirements gathering, project estimate, developing test plans and test suites (manual and automated, including performance testing), release and change management experience.

  Experience working in remote and globally distributed business environments, employing a variety of in-person and remote collaboration tools, including email, phone, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Azure-DevOps, etc.

  Desired: DevOps CI/CD, ODI, SSIS, MQ, Visual Studio Core, Team Foundation Server (TFS), GIT, Jenkins, SonarQube, BMC Control-M Automation.

  Ability to:

  Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.

  Demonstrate a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; remains current with developments and trends in areas of expertise.

  Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.

  Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions.

  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  May occasionally work a non-standard shift including nights and/or weekends and/or have on-call responsibilities.

  Education/Previous Experience:

  Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or related degree and three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience or a combination of education, training and experience approved by HR.Licenses/Certifications:
