About Senior DSP Product Manager

  Description

The Senior DSP Product Manager will be responsible for strategic programs and initiatives using core analytical and product management skills. A successful candidate will directly own and influence the way we support our DSPs and their drivers across our entire European network.

The EU Delivery Service Partner (DSP) team is responsible for managing and growing the network of providers that power Amazon's in-house last mile delivery service. Our partners work out of delivery stations across the EU and are assigned delivery routes and packages.

  Key job responsibilities

Leading strategic programs and initiatives that will support overall profitability for EU DSP Partners

Developing processes and mechanisms that address existing shortcomings and enable us to scale our growing business.

Conducting root cause analysis that allows us to understand the financial health of our delivery partners, and develop processes to drive these analyses at scale.

Reporting to senior leadership on key metrics and program updates, with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and recommendations.

  A day in the life

You’ll be part of a team driving strategic programs and initiatives to support our DSP partners. That will involve being in regular contact with senior management and a wider group of stakeholders to define requirements and update them on status, risks, and impacts. Deep diving into data will help you find those challenges and keep track of the effectiveness of your improvement.

  About the team

Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles ‘last mile’ delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers. Our goal is to make our customers’ delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and Amazon Restaurants.

There are two sides to what we do. Our ‘under the roof’ associates process millions of products for dispatch to our delivery teams. Our team is people-focused and supportive, particularly as lots of our people work through the night. We focus mostly on operations, with 24/7 shifts in most of our locations.

Meanwhile, our ‘on the road’ people work with Amazon Flex - a network of delivery contractors. Every year, we continually raise the bar for customer experience with new, innovative delivery services. We look for new ways to overcome industry wide logistics challenges and new ideas to reduce our carbon footprint, supported by a portfolio of cutting-edge vehicles (including Electric Vehicles) and technology to help us do just that.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Berlin, BE, DEU | Munich, BY, DEU

  Basic Qualifications

  A degree

Relevant experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Relevant experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Relevant experience as a product manager or owner

Relevant experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology

  Preferred Qualifications

Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership

Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions

Relevant experience in a start-up environment, owning the creation of new processes and systems to drive continuous improvement, particularly in the payments/compensation space

Amazon is an equal opportunities employer. We believe passionately that employing a diverse workforce is central to our success. We make recruiting decisions based on your experience and skills.
