As a result, ensuring compliance with regulations, detecting and mitigating risks from bad sellers has become crucial for Walmart.
What you"ll do...
The Risk teams' mission is twofold: build products to ensure Sellers adhere with our marketplace standards, including legal and regulatory requirements while reducing fraud to Walmart and to our customers through proactive risk detection, real time monitoring and actioning on risk enforcements. As the Marketplace Risk Product leader, you will work with cross functional teams comprised of business, engineering, design, product, research, and analytics to deliver exceptional products, features and experiences that empower the growth of the millions of businesses on our platform while ensuring the right guardrails are in place throughout the lifecycle of the Seller journey to keep bad actors out and maintain trust in Walmart brand amongst our customers. In this role you will solve complex platform-facing problems to detect and mitigate risks from fraudulent activities, develop strategies and roadmaps, work with stakeholders and execute those plans to build sustained value for our business and our customers.
Establish robust compliance policies: Build tools to establish clear and comprehensive compliance policies and guidelines for sellers to follow based on legal and compliance team guidances on applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Faster Identity vetting with accuracy: Enable tools to verify and vet seller identities, business credentials, and compliance with relevant regulations to prevent fraud, abuse, and non-compliant activities in the marketplace. Implement strong data platform: Build a unified data platform tool that houses all data in a central place with tiering access to agents and operations team to ensure quick actioning on fraudulent activity but also providing data privacy and security measures are in to protect customer information from breaches, leaks, and unauthorized access. Implement Risk detection solutions: Build plans that leverages technology solutions, such as AI-powered fraud detection to enhance risk management and compliance efforts. Automate processes, detect patterns, and flag potential risks in real time. Performance enforcements: Provide clear information about policies, and other performance standards for sellers to adhere to in a transparent way so as to prompt dispute resolution, and responsive support can help build trust among participants and mitigate risks.

You have 12+ years of experience in building strategy and launching trust and safety as well as risk detection capabilities for large marketplaces. Proven track record leading complex product initiatives, including scaling through Machine Learning and AI You have led and or build high performing teams specializing in capabilities across data platform, identify risk, ip risk, lifecycle risk and performance enforcements enabled via automation and business operations tooling. You are risk obsessed and always think about the data models that can drive faster detection, monitoring and actioning against potential bad actors. You have experience in helping change mindsets and processes to drive thought leadership backed by strong execution. You have launched not only 0-1 products but also scaled existing products. You are comfortable working with ambiguity and can navigate large stakeholder
groups. You have experience & strong bias for working with data scientists; have a strong
acumen for building platforms and automation tools. You can demonstrate strong, confident, and succinct communication

Working closely with key partners across the organization in Business, Engineering, UX, Data analytics, Operations, and other product teams to develop and own a strategy that supports risk needs, is clearly articulated, easily understood, and delivers meaningful value to our sellers and Marketplace business.
Develop an actionable roadmap that empowers your team to realize the product strategy and execute that strategy with well measured goals. Prioritize work thoughtfully and communicate commitments and updates to partners on an ongoing cadence. Develop and own accountability for the performance of key metrics that help us understand the value of the platform to our sellers. Regularly present to company executives on roadmap progress, strategy and prioritization. Work with operational analysts to find opportunities, and craft both back-end and customer-facing solutions to address compliance issues. Integrate user research, market analysis, and customer feedback into product
requirements to ensure products satisfy customer needs, as well as wants. Create and maintain strong working relationships with your key stakeholders, identifying the right opportunities for collaboration and communication on an ongoing basis. Partnering with Software and Data Engineering leadership to foster a strong cross- functional working relationship. Moving fast within our agile and iterative team environment. Leading & empowering team of Managers & IC PMs to foster a product excellence culture for strong product thinking and execution. Build upon existing or create stronger process, planning and documentation tools.

The annual salary range for this position is $208,000.00-$416,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
- Stock equity incentives
