Position Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice President for Development, the Senior Director develops and executes a comprehensive major and annual giving strategy to increase engagement, philanthropic support, and participation from the broader parent community. They manage a leadership annual giving officer and an annual giving officer. Some travel and evening/weekend work is required.

Essential Functions:
Advances and supports the University’s Jesuit mission and identity.
Ensures the systematic identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Fordham’s highest capacity incoming parents.
Cultivates and solicits a portfolio of major gifts prospects, comprised of parents and family members with the capacity to give four, five, and six-figure gifts.
Designs and executes marketing plans, events, and volunteer opportunities to cultivate Fordham’s incoming parents and maximize philanthropic support.
Manages recruitment and solicitation of members of Fordham’s Parent Leadership Council and Parent Ambassadors program.
Nominates parents for other high-level advisory boards at Fordham, including the President’s Council and school advisory boards.
Coaches professional staff to help them meet and exceed individual and team goals.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, business, or related field.
Ten+ years of responsible experience securing major and leadership annual gifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
● An appreciation of Fordham’s Jesuit and Catholic Identity
● Experience working in a higher education setting.
● Experience securing funds from parents and families.
Minimum Salary: $130,000
Maximum Salary: $145,000
