Work on some of the world’s largest commercial, Coast Guard and Army Corp of Engineer vessels and help these great ships head back out to sea! PDS Tech Commercial is hiring Structural Welders to join an industry leading team in Sturgeon Bay, WI.

　　In this role, not only will you be working for an industry leader in the maritime industry, but you will also have the opportunity to accelerate your career in the skilled trades. Prior shipyard experience is a plus but is not required.

　　Competitive hourly pay (commensurate with experience) and per diem available (where applicable).

　　Overtime throughout fleet season (Dec-Mar) will be required.

　　Candidates should be available for all shifts.

　　To become a Structural Welder with our client, you will need to successfully pass the basic horizontal and vertical groover weld test – inclusive of wire changes (ABS 2G and 3G FCAW).

　　Successful candidates will have:

　　Minimum 2 years’ experience welding in an industrial environment; including the frequent use of grinders and torches

　　Level of comfort welding/working in small spaces throughout the ship (kneeling, laying on back, etc.)

　　Ability to work outdoors in the elements (inclusive of all types of weather)

　　Basic blueprint reading skills

　　Ability to lift/pull/carry 50 lbs through shift – inclusive of climbing ladders and/or stairs

　　All candidates are required to be fitted for respirators and pass other general health and pulmonary requirements.

　　Pay Details: $32.00 to $37.00 per hour
