Overview
St. Luke's Health Foundation seeks a Senior Director of Gift Planning to support development efforts of a system-wide Gift Planning Program, including the establishment and implementation of all planned giving strategic plans, policies, and goals.
With a clear understanding of planned giving through the lens of donor-centered fundraising, the Senior Director will enhance, develop and promote the Legacy planned giving program, act as a gift planning strategist, and work collaboratively with all Gift Officers and Executive Directors to identify and blend the needs of the Foundation and St. Luke's Health System with the philanthropic passion of our donors. This position requires significant influence and communication with Executive Leadership, prospective donors and professionals in the wealth management and charitable gift planning community.
Responsibilities
Directs planned gift strategies and vehicles; leads creation and work of a Legacy Society planned giving program, inclusive of resources, educational events, and Legacy Society activities to acquire and steward planned gifts.
Establishes critical strategic and operational plans for the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of planned giving prospects, including targeted marketing. Manages a pipeline of donors and prospective donors across the system. This includes a range of activities including preparing tailored gift proposals, gift documentation, and reports.
Collaborates with marketing specialists for marketing and public relations activities of the planned giving program including public presentations, mailings, on-line presence and incorporation of planned giving language, as appropriate across St. Luke's Health System.
Leads and executes estate administration strategies, working closely with donors, their financial advisors and legal counsel to finalize and close estate gifts and complex gifts involving non-cash assets.
Ensures documentation is maintained appropriately and information is accurately entered into Foundation database.
Produces and maintains reports for use by leadership and others to show the production of the program.
Educates, encourages and influences internal and external stakeholders and other development staff in relation to planned giving.
Ensures planned giving strategies are an integral part of overall donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship in collaboration with all Gift Officers.
Performs other duties as assigned.

• Education: Bachelor's degree or experience in lieu of degree
• Experience: 10 years relevant experience
