Global Digital Services (GDS) is supporting BASF business in Digitalization transformation. Our MISSION is to drive forward the digital transformation of BASF, providing innovative, global and high-quality digital products and services through a strong agile culture.

Part of the GDS strategy, BASF Shared Services Center Kuala Lumpur (BSSCKL) is one of the established Digital Hub for APAC region.

Order Management Solutions creates, delivers and runs digital applications for users managing sales distribution activities in the movement of goods between BASF divisions and end-customers. Working agilely, we enable functionality of core systems processes. We partner and consult with stakeholders to innovate solutions proactively across multiple technology platforms to anticipate future needs.

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be part of a team that is end-to-end accountable for intercompany business.

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be part of a team that is end-to-end accountable for intercompany/cross-company processes. The team provides an integrated supply chain solution to connect intercompany business across the globe. It ensures that customer requirements are understood, analysed, and translated to IT products in an agile fashion using an agile framework. The team is responsible for development and operations of the respective SAP application.

Main Tasks

Technical design of application enhancements and new applications for BASF Order to Cash processes.

Development of those application by using state-of-the-art programming methods and ensuring compliance with all relevant BASF guidelines for development

Management of complex development environments using both internal and external resources

Ensures runnable, supportable and stable solutions from a technical point of view together with operations.

Contributes to planning and provides cost estimations for complex projects.

Supports creation of (functional) Solution Design Documents

Supports testing and error correction activities.

Requirements

Education

Degree in Computer Science, informatics, business informatics or in a comparable fieldWorking Experience

Minimum 4 years related working experience with complex SAP applications.Technical Professional Knowledge (Mandatory)

Excellent ABAP / ABAP OO and ABAP for Cloud Development skills

Functional knowledge of processes in SAP SD / Order-To-Cash

Expertise in API development and management

Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP)

Knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including website/server interactions with OData and SOAP endpoints

Agile mindset, self-organized way of working.

Working in an international environment, excellent English language skills

Desired Skills / Experience

Experienced with SAP Fiori App development

Experienced with Experience with agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban

Functional knowledge of processes in SAP MM
