Senior Designer (Electrical/Mechanical)

　　Description: A Sr. Designer job is currently available in Peoria, IL. This is a full-time, direct position with benefits. Candidate will be tasked with designing and supporting all aspects of the program from blank canvas design to supporting and modifying existing data already in place. Ideally candidate will be able to support either mechanical or electrical tasks at any given time. Items and assemblies designed will contain both static and dynamic parts, while needing to pass specific flam and FAA required tests.

　　Mechanical user will be tasked with different types of systems and modules ranging from engineering support and clerical work to designing structural components, cosmetic parts, and everything in between.

　　Electrical user will be responsible for owned clerical work, routing, attaching, and managing harnesses and their connections to electrical components.

　　Both will design to specific company, industrial, and aerospace guidelines and practices.

　　Candidate will be initially placed into Mechanical design or Electrical design based on client need, fit, and experience.

　　Once rolling this user will be expected to support and assist with questions of less experienced team members.

　　Job Duties:

　　-Design furniture, seating, and other structures/monuments for commercial aircraft.

　　-Using Siemens Teamcenter for PLM and NX Unigraphics for design.

　　-Research and implement new designs as well as update existing.

　　-Present designs in team, staff, and customer reviews. Must be able to take criticism.

　　-Manage your own deliverables within project timelines.

　　-Clerical work thoughout the life of the program and design.

　　-Run load calculations, tolerance stackups, apply GD&T, and run analysis of design for fit form and function.

　　-Daily utilization of Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, Power Point, Zoom, and other applications.

　　-Communicate clearly and professionally with client and internal teams daily.

　　-Lead, assist, and help grow less experienced team members.

　　-Fulfill a standard workday. Typical 8a-4p M-F. Some scheduling flexibility.

　　Required:

　　-Computer literate (Windows OS)

　　-Job will almost be 100% in front of a computer for the full work week.

　　-5+ years of CAD or 3D Modeling and Design experience. Preferably NX.

　　-Team Player, Go Getter, and Problem Solver.

　　-Willingness to learn. Own and take responsibility for all your work.

　　-Ability to follow instructions, guidelines, standards, and procedures.

　　-U.S. Citizenship

　　Preferred:

　　-Mechanical and/or Electrical Design Experience

　　-Siemens TeamCenter and NX experience.

　　-Parametric Modeling

　　-GD&T

　　-Understanding of materials (Metalics, Platsics, Composites, etc) and their limitations

　　-BSME, BSEE, BSAE, BSMET

　　-Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Furniture Design background a bonus.

　　Compensation:

　　We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $60,000 to $80,000.
