Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as a Senior Database Developer. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that benefit our country.

　　The Senior Database Developer is responsible for creating database objects (tables, views, indexes, triggers, etc.) based on customer data element requirements. The database developer must be able to translate customer data element requirements into a data model that conforms to industry standards. These tables (including reference tables and audit tables) must then be normalized in 3rd normal form.

　　Responsibilities

　　Must be able to look at current database and suggest, and once approved by FWS management, make necessary changes to ensure that databases are meeting the standards listed above.

　　Responsible for creating new databases according to requirements from customers.

　　Proficient in listening to customer needs, translating those needs into technical requirements, and implementing those data needs into databases and their objects.

　　Skills Required

　　3-5 year of relevant experience

　　Expert in developing functions, SQL CRUD statements (to include creates, inserts, updates, table alters, deletes, queries, etc.), stored procedures, etc. They must also ensure these statements are efficient (e.g. EXPLAIN PLAN and other efficiency measures).

　　Must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively both in a written format as well as verbally. Candidates must be comfortable meeting with the customer to assess their needs and then work with them to turn their business and technical requirements into a working solution.

　　Clearance: Active Top-Secret Clearance is required
