　　As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll be responsible for automating tests to ensure data quality and improve testing efficiency. You will be responsible for evaluating services and software, designing test protocols to ensure that products work as intended. You will also be responsible for completing all testing procedures, suggesting performance changes, and preparing test reports for the development teams. You should have advanced knowledge of software design and engineering, an eye for detail, and enjoy software troubleshooting.

　　Responsibilities

　　Partner with development leads to capture and understand data, reporting and test requirements.

　　Evaluate software for intended functional capabilities and properties.

　　Design manual and automated test processes for all platform services and tools

　　Build unit, integration and end-to-end tests

　　Run tests and generate reports

　　Work in an agile environment that focuses on collaboration and teamwork

　　Basic Qualifications

　　5+ years of relevant data engineering experience, with a focus on building automated tests using frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber, and Appium

　　5+ years experience programming with Typescript (or Javascript) and other object-oriented programming languages

　　3+ years experience testing API services

　　Advanced knowledge of debugging code and software development languages.

　　Ability to collate data and compile test reports.

　　Excellent software troubleshooting skills.

　　Ability to design and write complex software testing procedures

　　Excellent communication skills with product and development team to ensure highest test coverage possible

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Expert level experience with various test frameworks.

　　Experience identifying best practices and technical concepts of building large scale solutions

　　Extensive experience building automated tests from the ground up

　　Required Education

　　Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, or related field or equivalent work experience.The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $136,038.00 to $182,490.00 per year and in New York City, NY and Seattle, WA is $142,516.00 to $191,180.00. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
