About Senior Customer Quality Engineer

  If you are an experienced Quality Engineer, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Located in our Sidney, OH location, you will collaborate with multi-functional groups and teams to provide quality mentorship and support for new and existing products. In this role, you will be encouraged to work with customers to resolve product or process-related issues and facilitate problem-solving meetings. You will develop quality processes, systems, and methods associated with compressors, electro-mechanical products, and associated sub-systems.

  As a Senior Quality Engineer, You Will:

  Collaborate with multi-functional groups and teams and provide quality mentorship and support for new and existing products.

  Work with customers to resolve any product or process related issues.

  Facilitate problem solving team meetings.

  Develop quality processes, systems and methods associated with customer support.

  Lead and participate in process optimization.

  Generate customer quality plans to address issues.

  Lead and participate in data collection and analysis.

  Develop and present technical updates to multi-functional teams, business unit leaders and customers.

  Develop Processes and Value Stream maps.

  Work with plant quality teams to resolve internal process or supplier material issues that impact customers.

  Own Lean Six Sigma problem solving.

  Other activities that may be identified by the organization.

  Who You Are:

  You readily action new challenges, without unnecessary planning, you persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks, you build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations, You optimally communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels and you provide calmness and efficiency, even when things are unclear.

  Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Controls or Electrical Engineering

  ASQ Certified Green Belt or equivalent

  5-7 years of experience with high volume assembly

  At least 3 years in quality engineering role

  Excellent communication skills

  Excellent leadership and presentations skills

  Proficient with Microsoft applications: Excel, Power Point and Word

  Familiar with use of Minitab, Statistica or other statistical software

  Familiar with use of PLM system such as Team Center or Agile

  Ability to travel domestically and internationally

  Preferred Education, Experience, & SKills:

  ASQ Certified CQE

  New Product Development and Introduction

  Working knowledge of APQP process and PPAP requirements

  Working knowledge of Tableau, DOMO, or PowerBI analytics application

  Flexible Work Schedule – Core Hours

  This role has a core hour work schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.

  Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary/pay range for this role is 71K-120K annually , commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
