We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Corporate Counsel to support our rapidly growing Buy with Prime business, a new service offering that enables merchants to offer Prime shopping benefits of fast, free delivery and trusted checkout on their own ecommerce stores. You'll be a leader in the legal team responsible for counseling the sales and business development teams on a broad range of commercial, licensing, technology and regulatory matters and structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions. You will work directly with the business, serving as lead counsel on strategic issues and deals, and providing day-to-day input on business and strategy, and resolving issues that arise in commercial relationships. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways, and will build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Arlington, VA, USA | New York, NY, USA | Seattle, WA, USA* J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in one state bar.* 10+ years of experience as an attorney supporting commercial transactions.* A mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience is a plus* Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams* Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations* Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines* Strong written and oral communication skillsOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $146,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $272,500/year in our highest geographic market.
